When I was still landscaping one of my favorite times of the year to work was actually closer to Christmas. For the various properties that my Dad and I worked on, we’d create winter displays in the different pots around the houses. It was great working with the different freshly cut evergreen branches as they just smell so damn good, and it was one of my favorite creative landscaping exercises to put together these arrangements in the pots. It’s a much classier and more subtle winter decor than a glowing Santa Claus on the front lawn. All of the decor in the photos below were done by Dad in Dec. 2010.
